Hello and happy Wednesday! It’s work in progress day! Yesterday I shared a bigger finish I had over the weekend, and today I’ll share some of the smaller finishes…along with some soon to be works in progress!
Last weekend my daughter Chelsi and I were able to do a fun weekend takeover
of the Moda fabrics Instagram account. Chelsi took this great photo for one of our posts which features fabrics from our three most recent fabric collections: Desert Bloom, Creekside, and The Front Porch! As soon as I saw the photo I knew I’d better start deciding on a scrap quilt using all three of these collections!
I had a couple of mini charm packs of Flower Mill by my friend Corey Yoder, so I decided to make a little spring table topper. I also have a fat eighth bundle of this collection, so it was fun to start to play with the fabrics a little and get some ideas for what to make with my bundle. You can find Flower Mill pre-cuts and yardage here.
I also have been trying to decide what to make to turn this charm pack of Christmas Figs into a work in progress. I love this whole collection!
And…I did make some progress on my Hope Chest quilt blocks…
So now I’m up to seven blocks…five more to go! I’ve been chain-piecing the half-square triangles for 3-4 blocks at a time so that when I sit down to sew the blocks together my half-square triangles are all ready to go. If you are quilting along for the chance to win a free fat quarter bundle we are nearly to the half way mark…but no worries…these blocks are fairly large and go together quickly!
Happy quilting…and thanks so much for stopping by!

You could mix the Fig Tree charm pack with Swell I bet they look great together!
I still need to make the bcking for my Hope Chest table runner but cuurently I'm testing a pattern for Nadra (ellisandhiggs) and need to finish this first before I continue with other things.
