Hello and happy Wednesday! Today I’m happy to be sharing a little update on my Village house quilt! I’m making very scrappy houses using all of our fabric collections: Bright Sun, Valley, Desert Bloom, Creekside, The Front Porch, and Clover Hollow! I’ve actually had some of these houses finished for quite a little bit now but had to wait to share them until we were able to share our Clover Hollow fabrics!
On my last update for this quilt I shared a couple of the tips and tricks I’m
using to make my home building go a bit faster. You can read about those ideas here.
These are some of the houses you’ve already seen…
And here are all 32 of them that I’ve finished! Some of these houses are pieced with fabrics called strike-offs. Strike-offs are the prints we get from the mill from which to choose the final pieces for a collection. After we’ve chosen, we’re able to keep the strike-offs that won’t be printed. And in the case of some of these houses, I just had to sew with them while I was waiting for sample yardage of Clover Hollow to arrive!
I’m a little bit behind on this quilt along, but I do plan to catch up and finish this quilt before summer…since the sewing is so simple I can use the bases of the houses as leaders and enders in between other projects.
I’m still trying to finish up my studio organization projects as well as some other more complex quilts, so having these fun and simple projects to work on is a must!
Along with the studio organization, I’ve been sorting through fabrics, clearing out bolts and have added some fun things to the fabric section of my shop including this fun out of print Bonnie & Camille bundle of navy prints…
(with some of them available in yardage, too), and these classic B&C polka dots from their Vintage Picnic collection. I’ll be adding more over the coming days, too. You can find these in the shop fabric section here.
Happy quilting…and thanks so much for stopping by!

Love the leader and ender reminder to combine progress on projects! Now just to keep them sorted.
