Hello and happy Tuesday! Today we have some really fun mini projects to share…and I have a quilting tip at the end of this post, too! Last month we chose the mini Painted Ladies pattern by Joanna at Fig Tree & Company, a fun project perfect for this time of year!
Hildy made this gorgeous pillow, making nine of the mini blocks. I just love
this so much! She even had a nice sunny day to take beautiful photos outside!
Clara is participating in our parade for the first time and made a fun and scrappy version! She even has some of my Creekside fabrics included in her mini!
Brenda made this cute 4-block version to hang on her quilt stand. It’s just so cute! And the quilting is just beautiful!
We hope that the minis we share each month inspire you to sew something fun and small that you can finish quickly! Some of my smaller quilts are definitely some of my favorites!
Brenda also sent along this photo of her version of my 2017 Mystery Block of the Month that I had here on the blog! I think I might need to make a small version asap using Clover Hollow fabrics!
We couldn’t help but pick Be My Neighbor Mini for next month’s quilt…you just need a charm pack and 5 fat eighths to make the blocks (I did use 5 extra scraps in my quilt so I could have just a little more variety for my roofs). And then you’ll need some background fabric and fabric for border and binding. Remember that you can make your own version for our parade…make just four house blocks into a pillow…or come up with your own plan!
Over the spring break I was able to film a few more quilting tip videos to share with you…the first one is ready, and you can watch it above. It’s a short video, but the tip is something students in my classes are always excited to learn! I’ll have more coming soon, and I’m going to upload each new one as they are finished into the videos section of the blog above.
Don’t forget to head over to Michele’s blog to see some more fun mini butterfly quilts…and have a wonderful week!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Painted Ladies are all so pretty. I love how that butterfly can be used in different settings for different looks. Looking forward to houses this month!

I just watched your video and I had a question, Sherri. What if you did lines from both sets of points and had four half square triangles? Would that work? Would that mess with the bias? How could we figure out the fabric square size that we would need? Is that more than one question??? LOL

These are so cute! This gives me inspiration to finish mine now. I will push myself to get the houses done in time this month!
