Hello and happy Thursday! Can you believe it’s the second week of December already? It seems like I’ll need to sew faster and faster to get everything finished up in time.
But while I’ve been working on a lot of projects with deadlines and a mix of Christmas sewing, I’ve also been sneaking in some “just for me blocks.” It’s been nice to be able to take a break now and then and add to my Splendid Sampler collection.
I also made a block using the Creative Grids Pineapple Trim Tool Quilting Ruler. While I made a 6″ finished block, this ruler will make 6″, 8″, and 10 finished blocks–making it really versatile!
I‘m going to be making good use of these rulers after the holidays. I plan to get a lot of strips ready so I can sew rounds in between other projects.
I now have 42 of the 50 blocks I want to make. While I’ll be making a few more of the free Splendid Sampler patterns, I also want to add in a few extras.
Happy quilting and sewing! Thanks so much for stopping by!

I love all of your splendid sampler blocks and I'm a envious of how many you have done. Could you tell me what the orange print in the lower right corner of the last picture is? I love the the way you've combined so many different fabrics in the blocks and can't wait to see all of the blocks together in the finished top.

Love these blocks, as always. I've looked at the links and all over this particular blog post but I can't find out the NAME of the last photo you showed where you use the pineapple grid. Would love more information on this particular block. It's the 3rd one of this post.
