Happy Monday! It was sure a busy weekend for me…we had our county fair, visits with family, and on top of that I’ve been trying to keep up with the market preparations. I did spend a little time catching up with my Splendid Sampler blocks this weekend, too.
I’m still not all the way caught up (I think I have two more to make), but I
started with the most current blocks so I can stay current. First I made the Pieces of Friendship block by Lindsay who is an editor at American Patchwork & Quilting. Her block was so much fun to make! Also, you can visit the All People Quilt Blog for a fun mini project you can make using this block design!
Next I made Kimberly Jolly’s block with the large stars representing each of her four children with the center star representing her…I just loved making this block as well…and it went together beautifully!
I just love how these blocks are coming together…they have been so much fun to make. Remember, the block patterns are released each Sunday and Thursday on the Splendid Sampler blog!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Beautiful Blocks! Love the Gingham centre in the Friendship Block and the Fabric combo in the Star Block.
Your blocks are beautiful! I am behind as well, and when I am caught up, it doesn't last long! Two blocks a week should be doable, but it is too much for me most weeks. Oh well. As long as I download the patterns, I'll be ok. And this sampler is SO much fun! I am learning so much 🙂
So beautiful! I loved the story behind Kimberly's block. It'll be fun to see this one come together.
