I’ve been working with some of my favorite fabrics and have a couple more finishes to share. Yesterday I made a Sugar Pumpkin with Mill House Inn by Joanna Figueroa. I love this fabric more each time I work with it, and I love the pumpkin/pincushion–I used crushed walnut shells for the filling and will keep this pumpkin out year-round. So now that I have a pumpkin…it’s officially fall (and the temperature is supposed to drop 20 degrees tomorrow…yay)!
Simple Abundance by Bonnie and Camille is another one of my favorite fabrics. A wonderful blogger (who shall remain anonymous) was able to get me a jelly roll of this at market last spring, and I had the 9-patch blocks put together within days of receiving it. Last week when the yardage became available I had my list ready of fabric needed to finish the quilt.
The pattern is called “Around the Block” from the book On a Roll Again by Heather Mulder Peterson. I can’t wait to get this one quilted!
I get to make one more project for market this week–I’m excited to start on it. With each project I’ve done I think, “Oh this is the cutest quilt ever” and then the next project is just as cute if not cuter…and one of these days I’ll be able to share all of these fun things!
Have a wonderful day!

Hi Sherri! I found you in the comments of someone's blog and came over to check out your blog. Your quilts are beautiful!! I have fun memories of you and your family while you lived here in Vegas/Hacienda ward. Your class at RS was one of my first introductions to quilting. This past year I've had a little more time and have enjoyed diving into this hobby. I love the Simple abundance line too. I'm 1/2 way through my 2nd quilt top using it and just ordered fabics to make a third with it 🙂
