Happy Monday! A few years ago (back in 2011) I posted a patchwork drawstring bag tutorial on my blog. The bag is perfect for using those Moda Candy packs…just one pack and a fat quarter and you’re ready to sew!
You can find my original tutorial here; it includes step-by-step photos and information. I’ve also written the instructions in a PDF file and have it in my Craftsy shop here. The PDF file has updated directions for making the front and back of the bag using Moda Candy squares. My bag uses Solstice by Kate Spain for Moda and In From the Cold also by Kate Spain for the lining.
This will be the project for the November 10th Simply Small parade…remember, you don’t have to use holiday fabric…any fabrics will work.
And now…here are the projects from last month’s pattern, the scrappy four-patch table topper:
Elaine has her scrappy four-patch table topper finished and on the table!
Hildy sent this delightful photo of her topper!
Jackie made a Christmas version…
Janet made this lovely version.
Joy used Happy Go Lucky for her blocks…I just love the yellow border!
Lee was really busy and made several four-patch projects this month!
Mindy added a scallop border to her quilt…I think it’s perfect!
Sharon sent this lovely photo of her topper…
And Susan made a pillow with hers!
Thanks so much to everyone for sending in your photos! I have something really fun in mind for November…
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Such cute projects! I love playing with the mini-charms. I recently made a table runner using them in the disappearing nine patch pattern. I ended up with some teeny little squares but it went together easily and I love the scrappy look.
