Happy Friday! Just a quick post for a “Shine” pattern update. I found out late last night there was a slight error in the pattern. I originally designed the pattern using 20 different fat quarters along with background and secondary background fabric but then realized the quilt could actually be made with 10 fat quarters. The cutting instructions in the pattern give directions for cutting using 20 fat quarters. I’ve added the updated cutting directions if you are using just 10 fat quarters to the “Patterns” page (link at the top of this page…or go here).
I’ve adjusted the PDF files in my Etsy shop which have the additional information added as of this morning, and patterns that ship from now on will be corrected as well.
Of course as things always go…I mailed the paper patterns just a few hours before being made aware of the error, so please check the pattern update section on this blog before cutting.
I’m so sorry for the inconvenience…it doesn’t affect yardages or directions…so hopefully this will be a minor issue with the patterns that have already shipped.
Thanks so much for your support and understanding!

That sounds like "life" to me! Why do things always seem to work that way? The quilt is lovely, regardless. Have a super day!

I'm actually a little confused about where to make the changes on the quilt pattern. I printed the pattern when I purchased it via Etsy. I downloaded the pattern again from the Etsy site but it doesn't look different. Could you send me just the cutting page with the corrections on it?
Thank you for your help with this.

How many fat quarters did you use in the quilt pictured above on your blog?

Sometimes things work out and we don't even know it! I was pulling fabrics last night and really wanted to use 20 fat quarters for variety and was wondering how to adjust the pattern. Being a new quilter changes to patterns are a little scary. Thanks for the correction. Now I can do it either way!
