I’m excited to share my latest pattern, Shine! This one has been in the works for a little while…the Ohio Star is one of my favorite quilt blocks, but I wanted to add a couple of twists to the design. I wanted a lot of light space to let the fabrics shine, but I also used a secondary background fabric for interest.
Shine got to go on a road trip this past weekend to the mountains for a pattern cover shoot with my friend Korindi who is an amazing photographer.
Shine uses 10 fat quarters (you can add more for interest), ½ yard of a secondary background fabric (I used the aqua dot from Happy Go Lucky for my secondary background), and 3 yards of background for the quilt front. I used fat quarters from Scrumptious for the blocks.
I’ve been having everything quilted with the Baptist Fan quilt design lately…and I knew it would be perfect for this quilt too! This is one of my favorite quilts ever…and it’s a terrific size at 60″ x 74″.
Sorry for the photo overload…but I really like this one!
As I have with my previous new pattern releases, I’m offering PDF and paper pattern copies of Shine for just $5 in my Etsy shop here through Sunday evening, August 11th. Paper copies will ship next week.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
