Hello and happy Friday! Can you believe it is the last Friday of 2017?! It seems crazy that this year has gone so fast! I always love the beginning of a new year because it’s such a wonderful time to get organized and back on track with everything.
One of my surprises Christmas week was the arrival of the December box for
the Fat Quarter Shop Sew Sampler subscription. It’s always fun to see what is inside, and this month’s box didn’t disappoint! Included is a gorgeous bundle of fat eighths by Kim Diehl, the Star Twist Helping Hands bundle. The fabrics are warm and perfect for winter sewing. Also included is the Star Twist pattern that can be used with the bundle and a beautiful Presencia thread that coordinates as well.
Peeking out behind the bundle of fabrics is one of my favorite parts of the box…the Quilter’s Planner Mini! This mini planner will fit in your bag and contains weekly pages, menu planning pages, and of course quilt project tracking and planning pages! It’s a wonderful way to try out the Quilter’s Planner system (the full-size Quilter’s Planner comes with a mini, too).
Rounding out the package were 4″ Thread snips (that come in a variety of colors) and a silicone Stash ‘n Store (this also comes in a variety of colors) for storing notions in an upright position (this would also travel well to take to retreats and classes).
The Sew Sampler boxes are always a good value…and it’s fun to see new products and fabrics. Go here to subscribe for the upcoming boxes.
I know I just recently shared this quilt…but guess what?! Joanna is releasing the pattern in a book which will be out this summer! You can go here to reserve a copy, sign up for the block of the month program through Fat Quarter Shop, or reserve a backing set for this gorgeous quilt!
And…since it’s the end of the year, Craftsy is closing out and offering big savings on supplies. Go here to get up to 70% off supplies through the end of the year.
I’ll be back tomorrow with the final installment of The Saturday 7 for this year…thanks so much for stopping by!
