Hello and happy Monday, friends! I’m happy to be able to share another one of my new quilts with you today, my Seaside Layer Cake Quilt. The Seaside quilt is a fun star block quilt and is pieced with our upcoming Happy Days fabric collection by Sherri & Chelsi for Moda Fabrics which ships in February 2021.
Seaside Layer Cake Quilt
The Seaside Quilt finishes at 61 ¼″ x 74 ½″ and uses one Layer Cake and additional yardage. I used one of our grey prints as the contrast fabric, and it really brings out the other fabrics. The border is our large floral in Citrine, and this print is the one that just might be my favorite this time around!

Kit Suggestions Wanted…
Speaking of kits…I’m planning on offering kits for at least two of the new quilts. I’d love your input as to which ones you’d like most to see available in a kit! Happy quilting, and thanks so much for stopping by!

Sherri, asking me to pick only two quilts to see as kit offerings is so not fair. It’s like asking me which two of my four kids I like the best (i only have have 3 kids but you get what I’m saying right/) I LOVE this quilt and I love the fabric I was calling yellow but not really yellow, now known as Citrine. If I must choose then I say this one (maybe sized up just a bit bit to fit a double bed ?) and the Beach Row House quilts. Also, I saw in a post earlier this week someone mentioned you and Chelsi should design a Christmas collection. 🙂 Momentum is building! Nothing like a little pressure, eh? Have a great day!

I agree on a double bed sized one.
Seaside is a lovely quilt, and it would be great as a kit. However, my favorite so far is Summer Stroll.
Love the new fabric line. Seaside and Summer Stroll would be my pick for a kit.

While fabric line looks lovely, I don’t get why advertise fabric that won’t be available for 6 months. I could understand 2 maybe 3 months in advance, but 6.

It’s because that is when shops have to place their orders. This gives the consumer time to let their shops know what they like and helps the shop owners plan their purchases. I know it’s hard to wait, though!

This is a great design, Sherri. And the grey contrast sets off the colors so well. Good job! Looking forward to seeing more.
I’m loving the Sea Side quilt. However, it is a little intimidating. The quilting design used compliments the quilt beautifully. I have a lot of respect and admiration for everyone involved with this fabric color combination. I vote for Sea Side

I love this pattern, Sherri

Beautifull quilt! I love just about any star pattern. 🙂 And I love the alternate block that the corner stone creates. This could be a good quilt kit, since it is layer cake friendly. I also like the Summer Stroll quilt: it looks fun to put together all those 9 patches. Hugs, H
