Hello! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Last week I had quite a bit of fun working with my Desert Bloom scraps. I made some smaller projects, and today I have a couple of them ready to share.
I used one of my early blog tutorials and made some scrappy place mats.
These really go together quickly, and you can use Moda Candy squares, charm packs, or jelly roll strips to piece them. I felt like the navy borders combined with the golden binding really gave these a more “fallish” look perfect for now!
You can visit the original tutorial by clicking here.
These place mats make a perfect housewarming or Christmas gift…make a set of two or four or more, roll them up and tie with a bow.
I did quite a bit of catching up this weekend and even did some cleaning in my sewing room, so I’ll have lots to share this week!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I always love your placemat patterns. Some of my latest projects also helped to 'clean-up' some of my smaller fabric pieces. It feels so good to refresh those fabric baskets and other corners of the sewing room.
