Here at home, I’ll be in the studio most of the weekend working on a fun design with our upcoming fabric collection. It was 116 the other day, so being in the sewing room is the very best place to be right now. I’m also getting ready for a fun trip that I’ve been planning for over a year!

1. Self-Care
Here are 9 Daily Reminders for Living a Purposeful Life. And one of my favorite self-care things is a good reflection. Find ideas for a mid-year review and creative reset here.
2. Recipes to Try
Peach season is here, and I found this terrific roundup of peach recipes! I’ve also found some great summer meal ideas in this roundup of Easy 30-Minute Summer Meals. Finally, not really a recipe but my favorite hydration packets are now at Target! Find Cure Hydration here!
3. Quilt + Sew
A new favorite notion for me this week! I just tried this light and absolutely love it. My friends at Fat Quarter Shop sent it to me to try a couple of months ago, and I wish I had opened it immediately. It’s advertised as a light for doing cross-stitch, but it is also fantastic for binding with lower light! Find it in pink or blue!
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
This Happier podcast episode focuses on tips for regular exercise. (I’ve been doing great with my exercise goals this summer since scheduling Monday and Friday mornings)–have only missed when I’m out of town! Also, I am definitely starting Whistler this weekend–had to finish the Five-Star Weekend and watch the show on Peacock first. (Highly recommend the book, and the show was also so well done and the cast was fabulous–they really did bring the book characters to life).
5. Nordstrom Sale Favorites
Okay…I’m usually not sharing a ton of fashion purchases here, but I got some amazing deals at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and they are still available:
- Vuori is my favorite brand of shoes–I can always order my size (7.5) online and they fit perfectly. I have these sandals in three colors (blue, tan, and cream) and they are such a good deal now! They only come in full sizes, so 8 worked perfectly for me for these!
- This is also a terrific deal on Bombas socks for women!
- I love this brand for dresses and shirts–had to get this one with the sale and I love it!
- Finally, my hairdresser uses this shampoo on me, and I love it. I decided to get it since it’s on sale!
6. New Quilt Video with Chelsi
Chelsi recently shared a video with her Together Row Quilt in our Midsummer Fabrics Collection. We will be doing a sew along in early 2027 where you’ll be able to mix and match blocks and rows from Chelsi’s quilt and my Hometown Summer Row Quilt.
