Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 429: Lifestyle & More for Quilters post with a roundup of inspiration I’ve found from around the internet this week. I hope you’ll find some project ideas, home ideas, and more to jump-start your weekend and the week ahead.
I was surprised this week with some early arrival pre-cuts for our collection we’ll be sharing in May. Although I generally wait for yardage to arrive to begin sewing, this time I’m not waiting! Several of my patterns are very pre-cut friendly, so bring on the sewing! It’s a long weekend here in the US, so I’m hopeful to make some good progress.

Saturday Seven 429: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
Here is a wonderful post with 46 Morning Journaling Prompts! I also loved this post with 10 Things You Can Do Today to Make Tomorrow Better.
2. Recipes to Try
I’ve really been thinking about doing healthy meal prep on the weekends, and plan to make these Healthy Taco Bowls for my lunches next week. Also, I’ve always wanted to try making flatbread, and this recipe makes it look super easy!

3. Quilt + Sew
Did you know that the Fat Quarter Shop Sewcialites 3 Sew Along begins this Friday? I’ve participated in both of the previous Sewcialites Sew Alongs and loved them both. I’ve finished my first couple of blocks and just want to keep sewing more. There is just something so special about the 3″ finished blocks along with the fact they are absolutely darling. Find details for this incredible sew along here. And be sure to download the Sewcialites 3 Information Page here.
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
I’m reading a novel right now–and it’s so good! I set a mini-goal this year to read at least one novel a quarter. The Correspondent by Virginia Evans has been so good. I’m about halfway through and am sure I’ll finish it up this weekend. I also recently enjoyed the discussion on morning routines from this Deep Questions Podcast episode.

5. Decluttering
I’m still on a decluttering kick with my sewing area and our home in general. Would love to hear your favorite tips in the comments! Right now, I’m going category by category: picture frames are on my list this weekend for our home. And notions are on the list for my sewing room! I recently found this helpful piece entitled “50 Ways to Leave Your Clutter.” Finally, here is a list of Micro Cleaning Tasks for when you’re short on time but want to get something done.
6. Recent Finds + Favorites
This book set looks so beautiful on my family room shelves! My favorite pens! And this little lamp is perfect for a spot where there was no plug. I always use these toothbrush holders when I travel.
