Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 426: Lifestyle & More for Quilters post with a roundup of things I’ve found from around the internet this week. I hope you’ll find some wonderful ideas for your weekend and the week ahead. If you’re in an area affected by storms, I hope you are able to stay home and get a lot of quilting done!
This week was a busy one with a lot of family activities and quite a bit more sewing than I planned. I was able to work on some top-secret projects a little earlier than I thought, and I took advantage of a free day on Thursday to sew the whole day! I’m hoping to get a lot of sewing done today, too!

Saturday Seven 426: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
I love this idea of focusing on different topics quarterly in order to work on personal self-care and growth. There are also lists of small habits and tons of simple and easy to implement ideas. And the idea of a “slow January” and “slow goal setting” seems to be quite helpful in this busy time.
2. Recipes to Try
I just printed this recipe to try over the weekend–Pepperoni Pizza Puffs, yes, please! I’m trying to make more healthy meals (aside from the pizza puffs, obviously), and this 80+ Healthy Dinner Ideas is a great place to start.

3. Quilt + Sew
The Fat Quarter Shop Haven Quilt Along begins in June–but you can find all of the details now here. Also, the True Blue QAL is just beginning. My friend Lissa is sewing hers in reds. Find all of the details here. Finally, here are a couple of cute and easy-to-sew Valentine’s gift ideas.
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
I loved the recent “Knowing When You’ve Done Enough Today” episode from the Productive Woman. The book she references frequently is one of my favorites on this topic: I Didn’t Do the Thing Today by Madeleine Dor (I highly recommend it). I also enjoyed the “Tiny Habits to Embrace and Avoid in 2026” from the Best of Both Worlds Podcast.

5. Decluttering Helps
It’s January, and that means all things decluttering! Here is a helpful post for general home decluttering. And here is one of my favorite Sewing Room Organization posts.
6. Corn Maze Quilt Video
Chelsi just shared a brand-new log cabins +pumpkin quilt called Corn Maze–watch the video above or watch it on our YouTube channel here.

7. Recently on the Blog
Below you’ll find links to the posts from earlier this week on the blog:
- Cuddle with Moda in Birch & Willow Fabrics
- Birch & Willow Bella Solids Coordinates (plus my Fall Dash Mini finish)

Hi, Sherri,
Iโve been watching your YouTube videos but just recently subscribed to your newsletter. Loving it. I just had a lovey few minutes clicking on all your suggested links and now Iโll be off to listen to a few of your podcast recommendations. I appreciate how you remember that we are more than just quilters: we plan, we eat, we play, we care for others. Thanks again for a lovely time spent with you!
