Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 385: Lifestyle & More for Quilters post with a roundup of my favorite things from around the internet this week. Here you’ll find an assortment of inspiration for your weekend and the week ahead.
In today’s post you’ll see some photos of what I’ve been working on this week–grandmother’s flower garden blocks in our Delightfully Yours collection. They are making me so happy! And I’ll be putting them together into a fun project very soon–stay tuned!

Saturday Seven 385: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
Here is a step-by-step guide to more mental clarity in a week–lots of good ideas here! And I like this idea of making sure to get 1,000 steps after dinner.
2. Recipes to Try
First, a new cookbook arrived this week, and I am loving it! I love that the recipes are divided into categories with some great ideas for sheet pan dinners, meals you can make two of and freeze, slow cooker options and more: Everyday with Babs: 101 Family-Friendly Recipes for Every Day of the Week. I also need to share this Creamy Herb Chicken Salad because I’m so sure it’s going to become my new go-to for lunch.
3. Quilt + Sew
The 2025 Charity Stardust Quilt Along with Fat Quarter Shop is beginning soon! See the gorgeous quilt above and find all of the details here. And if you are a newer quilter, be sure to check out my favorite resources for those just beginning their quilting journey here.
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
This week I enjoyed Sarah’s podcast on “The Gap Between Planning and Doing” which shared a lot of terrific insights on why we sometimes don’t actually do those things on our lists. Cal Newport’s “The Forgotten Phone Harms” also shared some great insights on why we might want to stay off our phones as much as possible.
5. Spring Cleaning in the Sewing Room
It always feels good to do some spring cleaning in my sewing room, so of course I started with the ideas found here. (Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the post for a free printable to help you get started). I will share progress soon–just need to take some photos. Happy spring (cleaning) in your sewing space!
6. Simply Sweet Row Quilt
One of my favorite new Delightfully Yours designs is Chelsi’s Simply Sweet Row Quilt. Watch her video above and learn all about this fun pattern!

Too many ads on your blog. Hard to read. Use to read alll the time but the pop up ads have taken over.

I’m not sure if you’re reading on a phone or desktop–I do feel the ads are less intrusive on a computer. But the ads make it possible for me to provide the free content that I do–I spend at least 20 hours a week writing posts and editing…plus more time doing the actual sewing 🙂
I would suggest signing up for my email newsletter–that way you can pick and choose which posts are of most interest to read and bypass the rest 🙂 Happy quilting.
