Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 339: Lifestyle & More for Quilters. My Saturday posts feature a roundup of inspiration that I’ve found from around the internet. I hope these ideas will inspire your weekend and the week ahead. Happy reading. What are you planning on this weekend? I’m finishing up some blocks to share in upcoming weeks and also doing more decluttering in my sewing room. It’s going to be a windy but quiet holiday weekend for us 🙂
PS: If you ever have ideas for Saturday Seven categories, please feel free to email me or leave a comment on this post!
Saturday Seven 339: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
Morning routines can make or break my day…here are some ideas if you’re thinking about a change for your mornings. Also, this post on “How to Edit Everything” is terrific for not only clearing space in your home but in your mind.
2. Recipes to Try
I can’t wait to try these Fresh Strawberry and Lemon Muffins: two of my favorites in one place! And this Mandarin Spinach Pasta Salad also looks yummy! And, I’m going to have to make these Baked Tacos…I haven’t used hard shells in quite some time–it reminds me of the way an aunt used to make tacos when I was little! Finally, a cookbook club sounds like so much fun–maybe I could make it work quarterly or twice a year!
3. Quilt + Sew
Need to label some quilts? Fat Quarter Shop just shared a fun post with a free template titled “How to Make a Quilt Label.” Also, this tutorial video for Moda Blockheads 5 Block 20 is for you if you were nervous about piecing this block (it’s one of my favorites this round).
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
This week I really enjoyed catching up with a couple of episodes of Happier with Gretchen Rubin: Episode 483 with Hacks for Summer was a good listen, and I also loved the Summer “Sweep the Decks” More Happier episode. I also loved the most recent Cal Newport episode which shares Cal being interviewed by Jordan Harbinger.
5. Liberty Box: Order Now!
It’s time to order your Fat Quarter Shop Liberty box! If you’re interested, don’t delay because these boxes sell out each year. The Liberty box contains Americana-themed fabric, notions and a quilt pattern, including some exclusives that are only available in this box. You can order the pre-sale box here or from the button below, and there will also be a finishing kit available for those wishing to complete the project like the Fat Quarter Shop sample.
6. Quilting Life Academy for Beginners & Beyond Introduction Video
Watch the introduction video for my Quilting Life Academy course above or on our YouTube channel. In the video I give a lot of details and information about this quilting course registering now for a June 10th beginning.

One suggestion I have for a new topic for the Saturday Seven is a review of quilt related items. It wouldn’t have to be a new product, just something you are familiar with. I know you have an area where readers can look up this information, but it might be fun to have a quick product (tool, fabric collection, pattern, accessory) in the Saturday Seven.
