Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 333: Lifestyle & More for Quilters post with inspiring articles, quilting, sewing, home and organization ideas. I love sharing the inspiration I find around the internet each week and hope it will help get your weekend off to a wonderful start!
Saturday Seven 333: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
First, I loved this post on “Living Fully at Your Own Pace.” I also loved the thoughts contained in “The Art of Balancing Solo and Social Time.” I’m finally going to get to plan my quarter 2 and summer this week and consider that a great use of my “self-care” time, too!
2. Recipes to Try
I can’t wait to try this Chipotle Copycat Corn Salsa–my favorite side on the menu there! I’m hoping to make these simple Lettuce Wraps for lunch soon. And I’m also looking forward to trying these Easy Spicy Garlic Ramen Noodles–looks like a great lunch that I could have for a few days. Finally, I just got this Divided Serving Tray–I prep and fill it with a bunch of veggies at the beginning of each week to keep my snacking more on the healthy side!
3. Quilt + Sew
First, I have a couple of new additions to the shop this week! The 2023 Block of the Month Full File is now available as a PDF download. This quilt features blocks in 6″ and 12″ finished along with three different setting options including one that combines all 24 blocks.
And I also just added the PDF download file for my new spring table runner pictured above. Mine is pieced with Laguna Sunrise Fabrics and is making my kitchen table feel all of the spring and summer feels. This design would also be beautiful in any fabric collection.
Finally, there are just two more Strawberry Lemonade Botanical Remix kits left here!
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
I loved this episode on The Best of Both Worlds on Memory-Keeping Traditions and Celebrations–lots of good ideas in this one! And I also enjoyed this walk-through of a Quarterly Preview (perfect timing since quarter two just started)! I have a few books on my table and am hoping to get some reading done this weekend!
5. To Ukraine with Love Fundraiser
My friend Kaitlyn from Know & Thread is currently working on a fantastic project–her To Ukraine with Love Fundraiser. (I’ve known Kaitlyn since she was in high school and she often long-armed my quilts back in those days. She is an amazing woman with a very giving heart). You can find all of the details about the who and why for her efforts here (you can also watch the YouTube video on this page).
Kaitlyn also has two patterns in her shop now for which 100% of the proceeds will go to this fundraiser through April 17th. Help her cause by purchasing one of the following (I purchased the Pallas Pouches and can’t wait to make one):
6. Spring…Organizing + Favs
I’ve been in an organizing mood all spring and just found these terrific plastic adhesive card holders to use on my boxes and bins. Plus, you can switch out the content label as easy as changing up the index card you place inside the packet! Also, I just got these disposable face towels and love them so much more than a wash cloth when washing my face at night.

Ukraine has gotten enough of our tax payer dollars. A fund raiser for Autism, Rehab, Mental Health facilities, Homeless Shelters………..sadly the list goes on and on for those forgotten about but I have had to think about

Yes, there are so many who need help, around the world and here at home. Kuddos to all who are reaching out and helping others in a world where most think only of themselves.
Tara says
I am thinking of others, I don’t have autism, don’t live in a homeless shelter and don’t have addictions. I did not say money should not go to Ukraine I said they’ve gotten enough. Imagine what 3 billion dollars could do for any of the above.

Tara, Your last post was very angry and rude. It does not belong in this comments section. We are all capable of making our own decisions about which organizations and charities we want to make donations to…
