Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 174: Lifestyle & Inspiration for Quilters post. If you’re new here, each Saturday I share fun links from around the web to inspire your weekend and the coming week ahead. You’ll find good reads, recipes, quilting and sewing ideas, cleaning, organization, and decor hacks, and much more. Enjoy! This weekend is all about home projects for me…with a smattering of quilting if I have some extra time. I hope you get to enjoy a beautiful weekend.
Saturday Seven 174
1. Feed Your Spirit
I loved this post that relates trimming tree branches to bad habits we can cut out of our lives. And I also loved this post about the types of rest you really need in order to truly relax. Also, if you’re looking for a fun way to have conversations with family, you’ll love these “50 Family Dinner Conversation Starters” (with a free printable version at the end of the post). And here are “10 Things You Can Do Today to Live More Like a Minimalist.“
2. Recipes
I can’t wait to try these Garlic and Herb Parmesan Biscuits. And because I could eat breakfast food for every meal of the day, I can’t wait to try this Spinach and Bacon Frittata. This Simple Greek Salad looks refreshing and delicious. And this Asparagus Pasta Salad just says “spring.”
3. Quilt + Sew
I’ve finally got the Quilting Life 2020 Block of the Month full file in the shop for anyone who missed out on that last year. Find it here. And, as noted above, Jelly Roll lovers will soon have a new book with 14 wonderful projects that begin with Jelly Roll strips. My Plus Side quilt pictured above is pieced in our Happy Days collection. Find the Moda All-Stars On a Roll Again book here for pre-order (it’s available June 8th, 2021). And if you don’t have the original On a Roll Jelly Roll quilts book–it’s a good one. Find it here, available now. Finally, I’m looking forward to this new book (it covers English paper piecing, needleturn applique, wool applique, hand piecing, and hand quilting).
4. Organize + Clean
This notepad is one of my favorites for weekly lists. (I’ve been using this for over a year now and just found it available again). And here are some terrific Tips + Tricks for Washing Windows from Clean Mama. And here are 16 Spring Cleaning Tasks you can do in 5 minutes or less. Finally, This article also has some great ideas on why it is important to keep up with things in the here and now so they don’t become too overwhelming in the future.
5. Easter
Easter is just around the corner, and here are a few fun finds. See a fun round-up of The Best Free Easter Printables here. And more adorable Easter Bunny printables here. Plus 38 Recipes Perfect for Easter here.
6. March Sew Sampler Box (Spoiler Alert)
This month’s Fat Quarter Shop Sew Sampler box is another fun one! I filmed a short unboxing video you can watch above or here on YouTube. I also shared another fun Fat Quarter Shop project that just arrived this month. If you’re not a Sew Sampler Box subscriber, you can find this month’s box items below:
