Happy Saturday everyone. I hope you’re healthy and enjoying perhaps a little extra time at home and with family. When there are situations in the world such as the one so many of us are dealing with now, it’s a blessing to be able to have quilting. I feel like it is such a blessing to have a hobby/passion that can be done from home! I know I have plenty of projects to keep me busy over the next weeks and months! If you’re new here, the Saturday Seven Inspiration for Quilters 120 is a smorgasbord of fun things for quilters: find patterns, notions, recipes, good reads and more! Enjoy!
Saturday Seven 120
1. Feed Your Spirit
In uncertain times it’s important to stay calm and relaxed. Here is a great article with “11 Tips for Staying Calm During the Time of the Coronavirus.” I also loved this article on “How Self-Reflection Gives You a Happier and More Successful Life.”
2. Good Eats
If you’re staying out of the stores right now, here is a great list of recipes that can be made primarily from ingredients commonly found in your pantry. Get the recipes here. And here is another post with “31 Meals from your Pantry or Freezer.” And this Creamy Chicken Poblano Soup looks delicious. Finally, this “Sweet Fruit Salsa with Cinnamon Chips” looks so refreshing!
3. Quilt & Sew
Here is a roundup of Spring Sewing Projects with a variety of different projects to sew. And these Mini Charm Patchwork Place Mats are adorable. I definitely want to make some up in some fun spring fabrics! And I loved this article by Barbara Brackman on “Newspaper Friendship Block Exchanges.”
4. Bookshelf
Some of my favorites to read this time of year: Outer Order, Inner Calm, and Essentialism. Find more of my book recommendations here.
5. Spring Cleaning
Some great ideas on Spring Cleaning are in this post. And Clean Mama is posting about Spring Cleaning all month. See her article on cleaning Walls, Floor, Doors, and Lights here.
6. Get Organized
Here is a post with “14 Tasks to Declutter your Home” that is filled with some easily achievable projects for those of us staying home as much as possible. And how about the sewing room? I’m having fun getting my new sewing room organized and set up. Read 20 Steps to an Organized Sewing Room here.

Great links for things to do while we’re all staying home. We were just laughing about how I could stay home for quite some time and still have quilt projects to work on. The fabric looks like a breath of fresh air – lovely colors. Looking forward to seeing your new sewing space.

Lots of good ideas on things to do and/or catch up on. Just reviewed my To Watch movie list on Netflix and Amazon. Of course sewing will be my main focus! I believe we’ll be eating sloppy joes tonight with a nice salad!

You are so right-I am so glad I have quilting in my life. Time and time again, it provides a safe place to land that brings me so much joy. Take care Sherri.
