Hello and happy Saturday! I hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start. I’m busy with secret sewing, with trying to finish up our move, and also trying to get more organized here in our new residence. If you’re new here, my Saturday Seven 119 {Inspiration for Quilters} post is a smorgasbord of fun things for quilters: find patterns, notions, recipes, good reads and more!
Saturday Seven 119
1. Feed Your Spirit
I absolutely loved this article on “The Power of Getting Clarity.” So many good ideas that I needed to read right now. Read it here. I also enjoyed reading “When Do We Have Enough?” Definitely a good read with lots to think about. Finally, I also loved this article: “Finding Happiness.”
2. Good Eats
This Creamy Chicken Piccata looks absolutely amazing! I can’t wait to make it. This Best Ever Beef Stew also looks delicious. And I can’t wait to try this pie (I love eating anything Marionberry when I’m in Oregon, but you can substitute blackberries in this recipe).
3. Quilt & Sew
If you love bright colors, then this post from Barbara Brackman will delight your senses. Read it here.
If you’ve been following along with my Scraps-Along: 12 Months of Monthly Challenges series, the February entries and winners along with the March challenge will be posted tomorrow! See you then!
4. Bookshelf
There is a new Moda All-Stars book available now: Two, Four, Six, Eight: Fat Quarter Quilts You’ll Appreciate! All of the projects use either 2, 4, 6, or 8 fat quarters. My table runner is pictured above right, and there are a lot of very fun projects included! Get the book here. I also just received a new book: Finish: Give Yourself the Gift of Done. It is an easy to read book with great ideas if you are looking for some motivation.
5. Simplify
Proof that to simplify is often to be more productive: read “Busyness is Laziness” here. And along the same lines, I absolutely loved this article by one of my favorite bloggers: “You Don’t Have to Play Big.“
6. Spring Cleaning
It seems like lots of the home and lifestyle blogs are writing about Spring Cleaning right now. But this post really called out to me: “How to Spring Clean When You Don’t Have Time.” Perfect title, and lots of great ideas! And then I saw this post with “12 Cleaning Tasks that Can Easily Be Overlooked.” More good ideas for spring cleaning.

I went and read the article “Busyness is laziness”. Such good thoughts: reminding me to focus on WHO is most important, rather than WHAT. Thanks for sharing it with us! Hugs, H
