Hello and thanks so much for visiting! I finished a pretty big market quilt project over the weekend and shipped it off on Monday…I’m now working on another one…but I’m finding a few minutes here and there to work on a few projects of my own.
I’ll have a couple of new patterns ready by the end of the month, but I think my
biggest accomplishment this week was actually untying the ribbon from my Chestnut Street Fat Quarter Bundle–it never gets any easier to open up a bundle of gorgeous fabrics!
Not only did I open it up and press twenty-five of the fabrics…I also cut some strips for a project I’m hoping to finish up soon. And, I cut a strip from each piece to add to my Fig Tree 2 ½″ strip bin!
I’ve got another bunch of fabrics pulled and ready to go for one more fall project before I start working on Christmas projects and new patterns for the beginning of the year.
What are you working on right now? Are you still making fall projects or have you moved on to holiday gifts and decor?
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I know just how you feel about breaking into new fabric… What if I want it for something else? And cutting a strip off each one? Yikes! What if the perfect project comes along and I need the entire fat quarter? Seriously, it's a problem.
I'm getting ready for a 4 day quilt retreat at the end of the month, so i cut and kitted 4 quilts in the last 2 days. Yes, I over-estimate how much I can complete in 4 days! I need to slow down and enjoy the process.

I'm working on a Class quilt for next spring, but doing it in repro Christmas fabrics . It is a Mystery Quilt class, I can relate to your reluctance in opening a new bundle. They are never the same once that ribbon comes off.

I'm working on Fall projects still. Love this time of year! Who knows? They may even end up being Christmas presents!

Just trying to get organized after moving. Unpacking and going through projects I forgot I had! I'll probably be doing a post showing all my WIP's and try to decide which ones to focus on. I wanted to let you know that I just love the way you stage your pictures. The strips so carefully arranged, the beautiful white quilted background for those GORGEOUS fabrics. Oh my, you are bad for me. I want to go buy this line but I have GOT to finish something before I start anything new or buy more fabric!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has problems with untieing this moda twill;-)
I'm working on a few things right now mostly smaller ones but I'm not in the modd to make some holiday projects yet … and I know I'll regret this later this year.

I love the fabrics you are working with right now. I have been making Christmas items for a while. I just love this time of the year.

Looking forward to your new patterns. I made a baby quilt and the pattern so inspired me – I ended up making 8 :)! I was able to use up many of my scraps for these and some fabrics that were smaller pieces – so it was a win win situation. One more fall quilt to go after this – I hope – then onto….we'll see!

I'm not working on much quilting right now: the embroidery bug has biten! 🙂 But I will be back to quilting, just taking a little side trip! I am going to PIQF Tomorrow and Friday: wish you were going to be there!! You really have to put it on your calendar one of these years!! I love that idea of a Fig Tree 2.5" strip bin: goodness knows, I have enough of her fabric!! I think I have collected it from her first fabric line!! Have a great weekend!! Hugs, H

We are on a 4 week road trip but I am hoping when I get back to get the binding on a Fall quilt I sent to Natalia last month. And I really need a Fall table runner. Luckily I have strips left from the quilt so I may actually get it complete! I do love Fall!
