Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing our video for the Poinsettia Stars Sew Along Blocks C + D. Also, I’ve got all of the resources for the sew along listed here in case anyone is just joining in. Additionally, I shared the tutorial for the sashing and cornerstones last week–I wanted to share that early since we started a little later than we had initially planned. Also, please note that my original quilt is pieced in Poinsettia & Pear, and my sample quilt for our sew along uses our Midsummer collection. I share both the original and the new blocks in the video tutorial.

Blocks C + D are definitely two of my favorites (although I love every block in this quilt). They look a bit more complex than they actually are–so please watch the video tutorial if you are concerned about the piecing or would like some extra tips!

It’s Chris, from up here in Oregon!! I am still Quilting, although some health changes have made it a much slower process. It’s the “old nurse back”!!
But I continue to keep up with you and Chelsi on social media. I am currently working on Poinsettia & Pear Christmas Quilt. This is a stunningly beautiful quilt!! Fabric collection is a super winner, and block patterns are gorgeous classics. Quilting is the best antidepressant. So very thankful I learned to sew when very, very young. My Grandma gets all the credit!!
Just received my Birch & Willow Jolly Bar, so pretty! And, I am “smitten” with Midsummer!!! Already have at least 2 of your quilt patterns in my Quilt Queue!! Chelsi is so very talented!!
So glad you tour “across the pond” was everything and more for your memory making, what a lovely blessing. Sounds like you went everywhere and did everything, I was exhausted just reading about it!! Glad you are home safe and sound!

I noticed on your quilt, on the front of your pattern, that you used the cheater print. I love that fabric and would love to use it as my backing. Just wondering how you did yours with it being only 60” wide. Hopefully you can help me out with how to make it work. Thanks so very much in advance for your assistance💕🩷💕

I just used the same yardage with the 60″ wide cheater that is called for using 42″ wide fabric. I used my leftovers for table runner backings!
