Hello! Today I’m sharing another new quilt pattern…Be My Neighbor! And keep reading…because there is a mini version of this quilt that you will want to see as well! I’ve always loved house quilts of all kinds and feel like one can never have too many of them! So I had a lot of fun designing one and mixing it with some fun patchwork!
The patchwork is done using strip piecing, so it goes together very quickly…and
the houses are fun and fast to construct too! I loved picking door, chimney and roof fabrics to coordinate with each house–the possibilities are endless! My friend Marion quilted this one and came up with the perfect design for quilting that still allows the houses to be the stars of this quilt.
Be My Neighbor quilt is a fat quarter quilt–you’ll need at least 15
fat quarters, but you can always use more for variety! This quilt
finishes at 77 ½″ x 77 ½″ and is another one that goes together
quickly. Plus, you’ll have so much fun “building” the houses that
you’ll want to make more.
I knew even before I finished the full-size version of this quilt that there was going to be a mini. How could I not make a cute small version of this fun design?!
This cute wall-hanging version finishes up at 27 ½″ x 27 ½″. All the patchwork is done using a charm pack (doors and chimneys too)…and then you’ll just need at least 5 fat eighths to finish up your houses and roofs (I used a few more scraps for mine)! My quilter Val did such a fun job with custom quilting on this one! It’s so fun to see all of the details she added!
I just love both of these patterns! PDF
patterns for Be My Neighbor are available in my shop now with paper
patterns shipping this week! You can also find the PDF pattern for Be My Neighbor Mini as well as the paper version. And…there is also a bundle sale with all of the new patterns: Buy the four new full-sized patterns and get the mini
Happy quilting…and thanks so much for stopping by!
