Whew…last week was a busy one…I hardly had time to catch my breath! We had so many family, community, school and church activities that the week just flew by, and not much sewing was accomplished other than the prom dress! I did receive two patterns that I had recently won in a give-away from Gracie Lou’s. Both patterns are ones I want to make…it is like they were hand-picked for me! Thanks so much!
In the little time I did get to work on quilting projects, I worked on old and new. I made a little headway on my binding pile; I’ve been playing with a new pattern with some of my Cotton Blossoms fabric, and I’ve been making more Grandmother’s Flower Garden blocks! I also finished my May “Tisket a Tasket” block from Anne and decided on sashing and cornerstone fabrics.
Oh, and one last “prom” picture…I thought the corsage was beautiful and that they looked stunning in their prom attire! There is a lot on the to-do list this week…but happily it’s mostly quilt related!
Have a great day!

Your daughter looks beautiful, with her up do and cute date. Was she happy when she found out who she was going with? He’s very handsome. How nice to see her in a modest dress too. (good job mom).
And it looks like you’ve done lots of quilting even being as busy as you have been.

The Cotton Blossoms fabric has tempted me more than once. I think I have one piece of it and ended up tea dying it to tone it down for the project I wanted to use it in.

Sherri–My last week was crazy, too. I have one that is just about as bad this week, and next…etc. Can’t wait until school is out and then I can have a bit of time to actually breathe! You daughter and her date are beautiful! I’ll bet many of her friends were envious of her beautiful gown! She must be very proud of you! Have a wonderful week!

Love the prom pictures. Her dress is beautiful! You have some great stuff that you have gotten completed. The end of the school year is always hard with all the happenings and finishing up! Only 17 more days here!
