Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing Moda Blockheads 6 Block 14 which is a whimsical block that is super-fast and fun to make. Keep reading for all of the details including the link to the free PDF pattern.

Block 14 Details
This week’s block is called the Carousel Waltz and is shared with us by Camille Roskelley of Thimbleblossoms. I used fabrics from our Raspberry Summer collection with a tone-on-tone background. This block goes together easily with some larger and smaller half-square triangles that you trim to the perfect size. I also used strip-piecing for the center top, side and bottom units. By piecing those sections all at once and then trimming to size I was able to ensure accuracy (instead of cutting individual rectanges, cut strips and then trim after sewing).
