Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing Moda Blockheads 6 Block 11 which is a gorgeous star block from Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings called Folk Star. Once again, I was surprised by the size–this one finishes at 27″ square. Keep reading for all of the details and a few thoughts I have about this block.

Moda Blockheads 6 Block 11
Block 11 Details
This is a large block, but don’t be overwhelmed. You can easily make all of the half square triangles and then start making the smaller units. There are actually two different blocks here that make up the large star, and the pattern makes it so easy! I used fabrics from Laguna Sunrise, Delightfully Yours, and Raspberry Summer for my block. Also, this block would make a terrific wall hanging in and of itself. Think fall colors or Christmas, or even red, white and blue! This is such a great pattern to have in your files!
