Hello! I just wanted to stop in and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
While I truly love this season of the year for so many reasons: the spiritual
reason for the season, the opportunity to spend time with family, the opportunity to think of giving to those I know and love (and even to some I don’t know at all), I also understand the fact that many in our world are hungry, or cold, or not able to access clean water, healthy food, and proper sanitation. I try to keep all of that in mind as I serve and express my gratitude for blessings at this time of year and always. I try to give, although I’m also aware that there is so much more to be done. And I, like so many others struggle with the syndrome of the little drummer boy who felt that his gift was not enough.
I know, though, that we need not feel this way; we can focus on the joy and the beauty of the season without worry, knowing we have done our best and will continue to strive to keep the spirit of love and gratitude in our hearts all the year long. For those who are of different faiths, please know that I most simply want to express my love and appreciation to all at this special time–and that I appreciate there are many windows from which we all view the world. Thank you for your continued support.
I always look for a Christmas video to share here on my blog, and I don’t think I’ve shared this one before. I love the simplicity of this clip: beautiful music combined with stirring images and no spoken words. I hope you’ll enjoy it and have a Merry, Merry Christmas!
