Happy Friday! I’m looking forward to the long weekend, and since it’s officially September, I’m going to change out all of my summer quilts for fall ones…I can hardly wait!
I have just a couple of things to share today…first up are some fun quilt blocks
I made for one of the on-line quilting bees I’m participating in (the Mid-Century
Modern Bee. This month’s blocks were so fun to make, perfect for using up 2 ½″ strips! The pattern is called Woven, and you can find the free pattern here (just click on “download this pattern” to download the instructions from the site).
I also finished up a project bag the other day using some left over quilted fabric from market sewing…it felt so good to use up these scraps. But now I want to make all of my sewing totes in Desert Bloom…more bag-making might be in the near future!
Finally, did you know that all Craftsy classes are on sale this weekend? Yes, all Craftsy classes are $19.99 or less from now through Sunday. This includes quilting classes, cooking classes…and every class available (select classes are not eligible, including those from Craftsy partner The Great Courses®).
I hope you have some fun things planned for the weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by!
PS Thank you for the many the sweet comments I’ve been receiving about the blog in general. I appreciate them very much; I’m not able to reply to some of you if you are a “no reply” blogger, so please know I’ve read every comment and do appreciate them all!

Your bag is lovely with your new rich looking fabric. Love your blocks. With a 'bit' of cooler weather the last two days, I just might pull my fall decor out too. Good idea :)! I also enjoy the time you take to answer back from our comments on your bog. It's special!

Good looking bag that inspires me to try making one. I've resisted bags because of the zipper application. Now I think I'll take the risk and make a few.
Your blog is one I always enjoy with good ideas and lots of beautiful blocks and quilts. Thanks.
