Hello! Happy Friday! This summer I’ve really been trying to sew with scraps, use my stash, and finish up some some works in progress. One of my oldest works in progress is my scrappy Bonnie & Camille half-square triangle project.
I’ve shared my progress on these fun blocks several times over the past couple
of years, and I’m just a little bit in love with these blocks! I decided to change things up a bit and went with a print sashing…which is something I don’t do that often.
But I am really loving how this looks! I chose the navy print for the sashing squares and am happy with how that worked out, too!
My biggest dilemma with this quilt now is trying to decide whether or not I want a border on it…
I’ve had it out and keep looking at it trying to decide!
I’m pretty sure I’m going to use the large navy floral for the binding whether or not I add a border. If I do add a border I will probably add the light floral just underneath the navy.
Decisions, decisions…
Oh…and if you are interested in the patterns for my 25 half-square triangle blocks, I finally found the link again. The block patterns were originally shared by Camille Roskelley…go here to download the block layouts!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend…thanks so very much for stopping by!
PS. Craftsy is having another sale this weekend with top classes 50% off!

Love the print sashing and sashing squares you chose with all your HST Blocks. Looking forward to your finish. I often tell my family, that the quilt top has to 'simmer' a little before I decide on the finish :)!

I love these blocks. As I was reading and you said you were going to use a print sashing, I thought Oh No! But it is beautiful. I would never be that brave, but it looks so cozy. Once I get enough scraps, this may be my scrap buster. Can's wait for the finish.

I love the blocks and the green sashing with the navy prints is amazing! Persoanlly I vote for no border but a bit wider stripe then the sashing but in the same green dot pirnt to give the blocks a flotting look. And then use a navy binding … or a scrappy one. But that's just my idea whatever you'll do I know it'll be beautiful:-)

Beautiful! What would a white border with the navy floral binding look like?? Have a wonderful weekend, Sherri.

Love the no border idea. I'm surprised how much I like that idea. Just a gorgeous quilt whatever you do.

With all those straight lines, my immediate thought was a scalloped border, but then again, I'm not the one who has to make it!! Hee! Hee!

Great decisions so far, and I'm sure your last few will be great too!

Great quilt Sherri! And I love the fabric you chose for the sashing: it is light enough that it doesn't overpower the blocks, and yet separates them from each other. And I got my fabric today: thank you!! I'm using all those low volume prints for the background in a quilt: should be fun! 🙂 Have a great weekend!! Hugs, H
