Today I’m giving away a 12″ x 44″ table runner made with wonderful Fig Tree Fabrics! This is a fun table runner to make (I’ve made 4 in the past few weeks for gifts), and if you are new to my blog you might want to check out the tutorial for this runner found here.

Well, at least for those friends who are not allergic to nuts, I love to make the Buttercrunch Nut chocolate candy recipe you can find on King Arthur Flour's website. The candy ends up looking and tasting deceptively difficult, but is SOOOO easy to make. I like to pack it up in mason jars with a bit of scrap fabric over the top!

My favorite gift to give is a homemade Christmas Stolle with some Christmas cookies. I often save old Christmas Card boxes like my mom did and place the cookies in there with a card attached. The Stolle I wrap up in foil paper with a Christmas sticker on top and then place in a clear plastic bar and twist tie it closed.

This year my friend gave me a small vase with pebbles/stones in the bottom and a paperwhite bulb on top. She told me to water it when I returned home, sit it in a sunny window, and watch it grow and bloom. I'd never had a paperwhite before, and it's just so dainty and beautiful.
I'm thinking of doing this same thing for gifts for friends….vases about 50 cents at a thrift store, bag of pebbles from Lowes, and a bulb.
