Hello and happy Friday! I hope your week has been a good one and that you have something quilty planned for the weekend!
Because summer has been going by so quickly, I’ve really made an effort lately
to catch up with everything (and maybe even get a little ahead on some things). The Crossroads quilt along is nearing completion, and I need to have my quilt center together by August 15th. First I set the blocks together into
rows, and then I got the sashing strips sewn together. Soon I’ll have the quilt center ready to add borders!
I’ve also been trying to get caught up on de-cluttering and organizing in the sewing room. While sorting through and cleaning out some project boxes the other night I found a treasure! I’m not sure when I cut these strips or if they were left over from another project or quilt, but it was so fun to find all of these fun Sandi Henderson fabric strips from several years ago. They aren’t wide enough to use for my log cabin blocks, but they will be perfect for my string quilt blocks! So happy I found these!
Remember this 9-patch quilt I shared recently? Well, the other day I received
my copy of the book it’s in, I Love Nine Patches! And, I have a few extra signed copies in the shop if you have been looking for this book!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

Summer IS really speeding by, isn't it? Your Crossroads quilt is coming together beautifully. Those Sandi Henderson strips are lovely. I used this line to make a quilt for my sister, It was hard to actually let it go and give it. I've been saving very small bits and adding them to my scrap quilts as I go to spread the loveliness. Thanks for sharing your quilting passion with us.

I'm still working on my alternative blocks but already finished my sashing.
The book is on my wishlist but I've heard there'll be a blog hop and perhaps I'm lucky enough to win it.
