Thanks so much for all of the wonderful comments on my Sew, Mama Sew giveaway post–465 comments in all! I really enjoyed reading about so many wonderful handmade gifts; however, it just wasn’t possible for me to get out many responses. I used the random number generator for this one…as I usually do…and the winner of the pincushion and friendship bag is Lexiloo…e-mail me with your mailing info., and I’ll send it out right away! Now on to my December goals for The Charming Girls’ Quilt Club. I haven’t finished my goals for two months now…(although I did have lots of other starts and finishes). So…first up is to start a quilt with the Sandi Henderson Meadowsweet fabrics in the first picture–I love these fabrics. I think I know what I’m going to make…if I can get this one cut out that will be good!
Finally, I had to share my Saturday project…and boy was this a project! I’ve had this quilt finished for quite a while and have been wanting to hang it up (sorry for the poor photo…it’s really cloudy here today)! I decided if Carrie could put up a quilt on a Pottery Barn rod by herself, then I could. My experience was very much like hers…blogged about here (up and down the ladder with a trusty screwdriver…at least 15 times)! Now I know why the directions recommend two people install this rod. I decided to do this while the rest of the family was out…and so two hours and one very sore wrist and arm later…I was finally successful. Hoping to get a lot of sewing done this week…and hopefully lots of things checked off the list! Have a wonderful day!
That Saturday porject is awesome! And aren't you just the handy woman being able to do it by yourself. I have to admit I'd have had to have help, no way I'd have managed it on my own, I'm just not that co-ordinated!
All this trouble for hanging this quilt has been worth it! It is awesome!
What a quilt.. it is wonderful.. and Good luck on all your lovely new projects…:o)

It certainly isn't easy to hang a quilt by yourself! But it's beautiful! Can't wait to see your projects… finished or not!
Wow, you have been busy… and the pictures of the meadow sweet set me drooling!
Fantastic quilt you finished! It's gorgeous. I've had my eye on Meadowsweet and a few other new lines! Like I need more fabric…
I just got a stack of Meadowsweet in the mail today! I love it! I can't wait to see what you're making with yours!
I wish you well in getting all your projects finished. They all look great.

Wow….really big WOW! Awesome projects ahead and gorgeous photos you shared! Inspiring for me to get to work!!!
Wow! You have your work cut out for you this month with some really pretty projects. And your hanging quilt is gorgeous!
I absolutely adore the quilt that you hung yourself. It looks great on that rod. I have admired it on your sidebar for a while now. Beautiful!
nice work! Way to be ambitious! I often have to try to get something up on my own when the hubs doesn't get to my honey-do list… it's not easy with a 7month old though! 🙂
I love your cameos quilt! I have the pattern and cloth to make one myself; I can't wait! It's going to be started in January!
You are certainly one busy lady! But what really struck me in this post is the very last quilt, your Saturday project. I just love this!! Beautiful!

Oh my –where to begin! First off, I love the Meadowsweet fabric–can't wait to see what you make with it. How exciting is that–you're teaching a class on Cameos. Wish I lived there so I could come! Can't wait to see your other projects, too! And, that quilt you hung is GORGEOUS, Sherri! You do great work! Alright, I'm cheering you on this month — and I'll be checking back to see how it's going! You Sew Girl!
I didn't realize how gorgeous those Meadowsweet fabrics are. Silly me, of course, it's Sandi Henderson! Can't wait to see what you make with these!
You have a big to-do list! Hope you can get every single project done in time for the deadline. Wouldn't that be an amazing feeling? You can do it! Good luck.
I was in QW today and they are so excited to have you come and teach. Me too!
Love everything you are working on.
And the finished quilt on the hanger is wonderful!
WOWSER! Your Saturday project is incredible…the quilt is gorgeous and I love the way you hung it. You are going to be a busy girl. You inspired me with your Cameo quilt…I just got some fabric to do one for Camden. I can't wait to do it!
I DO believe if I ever need to hang a quilt on a Pottery Barn Rod, I'll get help…LOL Having said that – it was obviously worth it because your quilt definitely is a winner hanging in its glory. Beautiful.
Good luck on your projects. You'll do it – I do believe.

Oh, I love your pile of Meadowsweet. I need to get my hands on some of that. And all of your finishes are so inspiring, Sheri. I keep telling myself, "One day . . ." :). Also inspired by hanging the quilt yourself AND the quilt you hung. Wowzers!

Good for you getting the rod up. I love my rods to display quilts. Easy now to change them. Love the quilt there. So funny though – I just bought meadowsweet too! ha
love the quilt……….
I am drooling over the Meadowsweet fabric but trying to show restraint. I have no idea what to make with it yet and I can't wait to see what you are using it for.

I bought the other colorway of Sandi's fabric. Funny. This is the quilt I just started.
