Hello and happy Friday! Can you believe July is nearly over? I meant to start my Christmas sewing in July, but I’m currently sewing quilts with our upcoming fabric collection that we will be sharing in early August. That hasn’t stopped me from thinking about getting started on Christmas sewing, though.
I should finish up with my new fabric quilts in the next week or so…and then
I’ll be able to start my gift sewing list! So today I thought I’d share some ideas…just in case you are starting to think about Christmas sewing!
My post 15 Things to Make for Christmas has a lot of fun ideas including pot holders, table runners, stockings, pillows, ornaments, quilts and more!
This Patchwork Christmas Tree Pillow is one of the projects in the 15 Things to Make for Christmas post…but I had to share a photo of it here, too!
The tutorial for the Simple Patchwork Gift Bag is another fun one…make them in Christmas fabrics for fun holiday gift-giving…or make them with other fabrics for year-round use!
Have you started Christmas sewing yet? I’d love to hear your ideas!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I had plans to make some Christmas sewing gifts in July but didn't make a single one. I'm glad Christmas is still a few month away. Have a fun weekend:-)

Congrats on the nod on Moda yesterday, Sherri! Its great to see your quilting success. I am making 5 of your Aubri bags as a custom order for my aunt for her daughters Christmas gifts. I have one done so far. I typically don't sew for Christmas gifts, but I'd like to make a Christmas couch quilt for myself. I've had the fabric on my shelf for too many years now!! Take care.

Love your new Christmas quilt. I sew for Christmas but not in July. I don't get started until September and barrel through to about the first week of December and then ship everything out. Looking at your Christmas quilt I am inspired to make a Christmas spool quilt. Yup – that is what I am going to do.

July's not over yet right?? I swore last year I would start in July! Just helped my final daughter (along with her two sisters and two nieces) pick out her wedding dress today. Leaving for home tomorrow. Sunday is my mom's 88th birthday so I will hope to pull out the Green Bay Packers fabric for #2 son in law's quilt. If I cut out a few blocks that counts!!

Thank you fo reshaping this post. I always start my Christmas sewing during the summer break. i work in a school so this gives me plenty of downtime to get ahead before life gets manic again in September. I am thinking of making several of the Retro Mama houses and filling them with lavender. x

This year is flying by fast for some reason. I have a few quilts cut out and ready to sew, and then other sewing projects came about that had preference – so there they sit :). Love your collection of Christmas quilts and projects!!
