Hello…and Happy April! I meant to post a Happy Easter post this weekend; however, we had family visiting and I never even made it to the computer! I did have a chance to finish up my May and June blocks for the Blogger Girl’s Block of the Month, so I’m all ready to start setting them together!
For today, though, I’m sharing Block 4 in both versions. It really has been a lot of fun seeing how differently the blocks look with the different placement of fabrics. It has been a little more challenging for me as the months go by since I used 2 layer cakes instead of a fat quarter bundle–but I can now say that I was able to make all 12 blocks with 2 layer cakes, and I even have quite a few pieces left.
Be sure to stop by Monique’s blog today to download block 4 (click here).
Here are the first eight blocks together…I love each block separately, and I really love them together.

They look great! I've bought a fat 1/8 bundle of Indigo Crossing to make these blocks. I think it will look great in my bedroom. I'm not planning on copying your fabric placement, just using lights, mediums and darks in designated places. I'm a blue and white bedroom girl!

I am really liking that blue and white!

It has been fun watching your blocks being made. It is neat how one pattern can take on more than one look.
Have a wonderful week. Trish

I am really loving this block series. Might have to join in for a low volume version. This would be perfect for that project!

I really enjoy making sampler blocks and it is really neat to see yours all lined up together. The thing that amazes me is the color combinations and how much they can change the overall block appearance. I quite love your blues very nice. Thanks for sharing.

I've always been fascinated by how different blocks can look when colors (meaning the values) of fabrics are switched around. Your blocks are so interesting in that way. Beautiful!

Me, too. I love your blocks separately, but when I see them together, it's like "Wow!" Very nice!
Okay, off to make my way backwards to where I left off on your blog. My goodness, you have been a busy blogger! 🙂
