Hi Sherri & Chelsi, I enjoy your podcast and wanted to comment on the recent batting discussion. I was a longarm quilter for many years and for a time did offer pre-washing of battings for customers. You do need to be gentle with them. You did not mention poly battings which could be an option when shrinking is not wanted. For table toppers you might need to use a trivet with a hot dish. Hobbs Thermore is very lightweight and is often used for garments and I have used it for wall-hangings and plan to make a summer quilt with it.
