Hello, friends! I’m so happy to share the A Quilting Life Block of the Month November 2025 with you all today! This month’s block is special and darling–and I have a full video tutorial for you to make it, too! Keep reading for all of the details and be sure to watch the block tutorial. You’ll be wanting to make an entire quilt with this block after you make just one!

A Quilting Life Block of the Month November 2025
November Block Details
The November block is a simple quarter-Dresden unit that goes together easily. I’ve got all of the details from start to finish in today’s video with templates plus extra tips and tricks to make this go together quickly and easily. (I made my small block identical to my Log Cabin center this month since I used that one to film my tutorial).
Alternate Block Ideas
If you don’t want to make the quarter Dresden block, here are a couple of ideas for alternate 6″ blocks. (Neither of these has already been used in the quilt):

We are unable to download this beautiful Quarter Dresden block. It’s asking for Google permissions from owner… please check into this & repost on YouTube.
Checking this video’s comments, I am not the only one.
Thanks, Sherri

There is something new and annoying associated with your BOM downloads. It is telling me that I need to request permission to receive the download. This has not happened before, and I tried to access it several times. I requested permission in the form on Google Drive, but do not understand what changed.
Peggy says
Me too! I’m sure it’s just a temporary hiccup and they’ll fix it before long. Love this month’s block!!!
Ellen Hammond says
Me too but now itโs working. Thank you!
Susan Benedict says
I got the same message. Maybe the link needs fixed or doc reloaded?

I am unable to download November Block of the month. It is requesting access. This has never happened with the other blocks. Can someone fix this please?
BRENDA BROWN says
I’m having the same problem as everyone else. I sent a request for permission to access but got no reply either. Seems the link is broken or permissions were not lifted prior to posting the link.
Nancy says
I am having the same issue.

Iโm glad to know itโs not just me having this problem. Sherri, please let us know how we can access this monthโs block!

I am having same problem. Unable to download.

I am also having the same problem, cannot download the November 2025 block pattern. This has never been an issue with previous months. Has something changed? Please fix this. Thank you.
Linda Phelps says
Why the change in ability to simply down load this months pattern. It seems like you have many disgruntled fans who simply want to download the block in a one step process. Love your fabrics and sew alongs. I hope this can be changed.

It was an honest mistake, and I was on vacation, so it took me a few hours to get it updated. So sorry about that ๐
Debi Russell says
Wow. I thought it was just me. I canโt download the pattern. Please fix!!
Pamelia Wimberly says
I hate to say it, but I have never had problems downloading any of your patterns before. I have tried repeatedly but can’t get to the pattern. I enjoy seeing you, Chelsea, and Billy on your videos! I enjoy your newsletters too. Keeps me informed! Thank you and your family for all you do!
Jo Jay says
Hi Sherri, Same problem. Clicked to download the pattern, and was required to log into Google Drive.
Deb E says
I had no luck getting the BOM for November, either. Directs me to “Google Drive”, a message I’ve never received before. Could you please upload this post the way you normally do? When I get a message like this it’s not something I respond to….thanks!!
Peggy says
It’s fixed!! Yay! ๐๐๐
Sue H says
It must be fixed by now because I had no problem printing out the November pattern. Just like usual. Thanks, Sherri, for the pattern and the fix, I guess!
Joyce Carter says
I really love this block. Thank you so much Sherri.
Debbie Raptis says
I love this block. It made me think of a turkey’s tail! LOL
Pamelia Wimberly says
Got the pattern! Thank you so much!
M.D. Naro says
Very cute pattern. (…Well, after the Google permissions were fixed. That had to be some inbox this morning, poor dear! ;)) I finished it in very little time. I did a little extra and added a zigzag stitch (rather than my usual blanket stitch) to the quarter circle to dress up the edge a bit, and it turned out sweetly. Just a little bling if you bother to look that closely.
I’m looking forward to the last square and finishing! –But first I need to throw together four extra blocks, as I’m one of those odd sorts who like square quilts. I’ll have to find some that I like that will work, or maybe repeat some favorites from here.
Cheers and thanks again!
Cindy says
I love love the November block! I am getting low on fabric so I need to purchase more to finish this block. Any chance we could get the fabrics needed for the December block so I can order it at the same time? I know you donโt like to sneak peek the upcoming blocks just need to know the fabric required.
You are amazing!!
Cindy
Carol says
It is Tuesday and I still cannot access the pattern. Please help
sherri McConnell says
The link has been updated and should be just fine to print now!
Karen Burgoyne says
Would love a sneak peek or fabric suggestion for 2026 – all the shops are having holiday sales.
Karen Chandler says
Thank you for sending out the November block again. When will we see the finishing instructions? Wanted to start cutting the sashing fabric.
Lori says
What are the measurements of the dresden plate used? I don’t have a printer so I am just going to use my dresden ruler if you would supply the dimensions.
