Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 463: Lifestyle & More for Quilters post with a roundup of inspiration from around the internet this week. I hope you’ll find something to make your weekend and the week ahead easier/more fun!
There are storms due to affect so many areas of the US this weekend. If you are in one of those areas, I hope you are safe and well. We are supposed to get rain from Tropical Storm Rachel–I’m hoping it’s slow and steady and not too much flooding, but we so need the water. I’ll be finishing up a quilt in my sewing room today!

Saturday Seven 463: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
I loved this piece about the Practice of Doing Less on Purpose. I also loved this one with ideas on how these 21 Decluttering Mistakes can Keep You from Maintaining an Organized Home. (I’m working on seventeen–making sure I declutter regularly).
2. Recipes to Try
These Simple Chicken Tacos look amazing! I’m going to try this Corn Casserole to see if it will work for one of our holiday meals. Finally, here is a roundup of The Best Pumpkin Recipes for Fall.

3. Quilt + Sew
I shared quite a few things this week on the blog, and they are all linked under number seven including the October Block of the Month, my first Blockheads 7 block, and the next three blocks in our Poinsettia Stars Block of the Month Sew Along. Also, Kimberly began the sew along for my Pumpkin Hollow quilt–find all of the details and dates for rows here.
4. Book + Podcast Recommendations
I’m busily reading How to Be Good at Life: Simple Systems to Achieve More and Stress Less. It is excellent! I’m also getting ready to start this book by the author of The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion–The journals have been my favorite fiction reads in a while, and I’ll have a report for you soon on the new book.
5. Block of the Month 2027: It’s Coming!
Yes, I will be sharing a Block of the Month for 2027. I’ve got what I think is a really fun and unique design and can’t wait to share. It will be a mystery as usual, but I will have fabric requirements ready on the first Monday in November. Find answers to frequently asked questions about my Block of the Month quilts here.

6. Recent Finds
I just got this planner for next year–I keep a smaller notebook in my purse for notes but loved using this same style and brand this year–it was nice to have the extra space for notes. I’m also in love with this moisturizer for daytime–I use a heavier one at night, but this one is lighter for daytime but still makes my skin feel moisturized.
