Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 418: Lifestyle & More for Quilters post with a variety of inspiration I’ve found from around the internet this week. I hope you’re able to spend some time sewing and that you are also enjoying time with family and friends.
I’m busy sewing behind the scenes both for a new collection we’ll be sharing in a couple of weeks and for holiday gift giving! But even with all of the sewing, I’m hoping to relax a bit this weekend and slow things down just a bit before the busy season is fully upon us. Keep reading for all of the things I’ve found to share this week.

Saturday Seven 418: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
It seems appropriate to mention gratitude as self-care this week (and always, really). I loved this article on practicing more gratitude. (I also love my Gratitude journal as a self-care practice–I try to write quarterly and have been using it for a few years now).
2. Recipes to Try
It’s definitely soup weather, and here is a yummy Lemon Rosemary Chicken Soup to try. I’m also going to try this Roasted Butternut Squash and Feta Soup. And here is a terrific roundup of Christmas Cookies and Treats!

3. Quilt + Sew
My friend Melissa just shared a cute signature quilt (free PDF pattern). This would be perfect for a wedding or an anniversary! And finally, don’t forget about my shop sale going on now: use the code BLACKFRIDAY25 for 20% off in the shop now through tomorrow.
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
I’m currently reading (and loving) Embracing Advent: Rediscovering Christmas in the Chaos. I’m also getting ready to start Supercommunicators: How to Unlock the Secret Language of Connection by Charles Duhigg (plus it’s on sale for Black Friday).
5. Patchwork Moments: 2 Quilts in 1 Pattern
Chelsi recently shared a video with her wonderful Patchwork Moments quilt pattern. This pattern actually has two different quilt options included in the same pattern (one with a heart block and one with a tree block). Watch the video to see all of the details. And find the Patchwork Moments pattern in paper and PDF here.
6. Tis the Season
Here are some terrific ideas for simplifying and de-stressing your holidays. Also, how cute is this Dip and Tray Set?! (It would make a fun gift for someone (or you). Finally, if you are looking for free planner pages, there are some terrific ones here.
