Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing my weekly round-up post: the Saturday Seven 416: Lifestyle & More for Quilters with inspiration from all around the internet. I’m also home from my quilting “sewcation” in Hawaii and it seems like all of a sudden, the holidays are upon us! Every extra minute these days is spent sewing as fast as I can with sample yardage that arrived while I was away. (Yes, we’ll be sharing a new upcoming collection next month, and we are so excited about that). Keep reading for all of the fun (including details for my Black Friday sale) and notes from the week.

Saturday Seven 416: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
Friends, I loved this article on creating a personal curriculum. I’m super excited to implement so many of these ideas! I also loved this article from Laura Vanderkam: Get the Pebble Out of Your Shoe. Finally, this short piece called “Stuck Happens” really resonated with me!
2. Recipes to Try
I’m definitely on team salad for the Thanksgiving table, and this one looks amazing! And here is a new twist for the sweet potatoes at your meal: Scalloped Sweet Potato Stacks! How about Crockpot Garlic Butter Steak Bites! I love creamed corn, and this Easy Boursin Creamed Corn looks like a terrific holiday side dish!

3. Quilt + Sew
Here is a fun tutorial for a free Wonky block (fat quarter friendly)! And here is a great gift idea: a Quilted Reversible Gameboard. Finally, you won’t want to miss reading about this incredible Antique Lone Star quilt!
4. Book & Podcast Recommendations
Lots of sewing time means I’ll be doing a lot of podcast listening over the next several weeks. Recently I loved The Lost Art of Long Thinking from Cal Newport’s Deep Questions show and also thought Finding Your Life’s Purpose was an interesting listen on the Best of Both Worlds podcast.

5. Shop Update: Collector Boxes + More
Did you know the Delightfully Yours Collector boxes are now available? They are filled with fabric, notions, patterns, and a delightful collector’s Moda Piece catalog featuring the Sherri & Chelsi quilting journey (plus our favorite patterns, notions, and more)!
Also, I’ve added some fun quilt backings into the shop along with some much requested low-volume bundles and fun little items in the gifts section.
6. Grandma’s House Quilt
Chelsi recently shared a video with one of her latest Poinsettia & Pear quilt patterns: Grandma’s House. Watch the video above or watch on our YouTube channel. And find the pattern for this darling quilt in paper or PDF here.
