S is for Stitch

Welcome to the S is for Stitch: 52 Embroidered Alphabet Designs + Charming Projects for Little Ones blog tour! I'm so happy to be here today to tell you a little bit about my friend Kristyne's wonderful book! If you don't read Kristyne's blog, Pretty by Hand, I must let you know I highly recommend it. Kristyne is incredibly talented and always has beautiful projects to share.

Kristyne and I actually got to meet in person at International Quilt Market in Houston last fall. The first time we bumped into each other we were actually standing in line together waiting for a SchoolHouse session. Later we saw each other again on the showroom floor and got a picture.

S is for Stitch contains 52 embroidered alphabet designs--one for boys and one for girls for each letter of the alphabet. There are also some fun sayings to embroider as well, along with some adorable projects to make for little ones!

The book not only contains beautiful phototgaphy but is also very informative. The "Basics" section covers floss, scissors, fabric preparation, needles, hoops, and transfer of designs. There is also an embroidery stitch section with beautiful diagrams.

If you'd like to win a copy of this beautiful book, just leave a comment on this post. Also, you can stop by the other blogs on the blog tour for a chance to win (that's 8 chances in all--winners outside the US will be able to win an e-book version)!

Allison at Stash Books blog
Allison at Cluck Cluck Sew
Amanda Jean at Crazy Mom Quilts
Amy Sinibaldi at Nanacompany
Anne Sutton at BunnyHill Blog
Lori Holt at Bee in my Bonnet
and tomorrow's stop....Kristyne at Pretty by Hand!

The giveaways will be open until April 4th, and then the winners be announced after that!

Thanks so much for stopping by...good luck!
