2012...still can't believe it's gone and that we are nearly half-way through January!
I've been meaning to do a year in review post for a couple of weeks now. Looking back through the picture files on my computer, I was amazed at all of the Farmer's Wife block photos...that really was a project I worked on most of the year! And there are a few things I didn't include here...market sewing and my spools quilt are missing from the collage as well as a few bags and notebook covers. But I think this presents a pretty good summary.
The publication of the Moda Sweet Celebrations book Sweet Celebrations with Moda Bakeshop Chefs: 35 Projects to Sew from Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes, Fat Quarters, Charm Squares & More in the fall of 2012 was another pretty exciting thing for me last year. Meeting so many of the other chefs at quilt market was a bonus highlight!
And finally...even though my book A Quilting Life: Creating a Handmade Home won't be available for a couple more months, the bulk of the work was done in 2012. Yes, the ideas and designs came from 2010 and 2011, but the writing and much of the sewing was a product of 2012. I'm thankful for the year 2012 was...and so hopeful for a wonderful 2013!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
