Spring Break Sewing
Over spring break I'm happy to have had a lot of sewing time. I worked on a few "secret" projects but also had a chance to work on some works in progress for myself. First, I needed to get caught up on my Blogger's Block of the Month. Allison posted the block for March--a fun churn dash block!
The collection of blocks is growing...I'm glad I'm making two of each!
I also made a couple of cute baby bibs from this tutorial (thank you Annette for sharing the link). These bibs were so fun and easy to make. I think I'm going to make up a bunch to have on hand for baby shower gifts!
I also finally had a chance to put together my California Girl Sunwashed quilt (pattern by Joanna of Fig Tree & Co.). I've been sharing bits and pieces of this quilt over the past month or so. The curves are all hand-applique'd, and the rest of the quilt is pieced. The applique' went pretty quickly, and with the simple curves it is definitely a project for beginners to practice their applique'.
Now I just need to decide on an outer border...the first fabric I picked just isn't going to work...decisions, decisions!
It's back to the regular schedule for me this week...thanks for stopping by!
