Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing the Saturday Seven 446: Lifestyle & More for Quilters. I have a roundup of inspiration from around the internet and a sprinkling of recently finished projects. I came home from my business event last week just wanting to get in some good sewing time, and I was able to do that. I’m hoping to get even more done this weekend since it’s extremely hot outside! I hope some of these ideas will inspire your weekend sewing and the week ahead.

Saturday Seven 446: Lifestyle & More for Quilters
1. Self-Care
This article has terrific ideas for working on personal growth. And these ideas for a nostalgic summer are all so good! (Don’t let the “coastal grandma” in the title keep you from reading–the ideas are great even if you don’t live near the coast and aren’t a grandma)!
2. Recipes to Try
I love to have shredded chicken already cooked and in 2-cup portions in my freezer. (I usually put 4-6 chicken breasts in my slow cooker with some broth once or twice a month and cook until ready to shred. Then I shred, bag, and freeze). So, this roundup of Shredded Chicken Ideas was a terrific find this week. Also, this Perfect Air Fryer Chicken will be on rotation all summer long! Finally, if you love mint chocolate chip cookies, here is a recipe to try!
3. Quilt + Sew
One charm pack and three mini charms make this darling table runner. I’m also hoping to finish up a Blooming Pillow and table runner using our Midsummer fabrics this week. Get the PDF pattern here.
4. Book + Podcast Recommendations
I did a bit of sewing this week and listened to several podcasts. Here are my favorites from the week: Productivity Hacks from Best of Both Worlds; Should I Press Pause from Deep Questions; and this one with Travel Hacks for a Happier Summer from Gretchin Rubin.

5. Patchwork Bow in Midsummer
I’m so excited to have finished my Patchwork Bow in our Midsummer fabrics. This was a fun new pattern I learned about while at the Modavation event (see more about this pattern in the video below). I’m going to start my Poinsettia & Pear version of this bow now, so I have it for Christmas! (Also need to make a Birch & Willow version for fall)!

6. Modavation Fun
You can watch one of our videos from the Modavation event above or on our YouTube channel here. This one is a quick version of one of the Schoolhouse presentations by Kaitlyn from Knot & Thread along with a mini presentation by Brooklyn of BrooklynDawnQuiltCo featuring her new patchwork Bow Patterns (mine shown above).
