Happy August!

Happy August...I can't believe summer is slipping away...I'm definitely ready for the temperatures to cool down...but not so ready for the lazy days of summer to end.  We're doing something a little different this month for our August Schnibble.  Sinta and I have each chosen a different Schnibble, and you have the choice to make "Short Story" as Sinta did or "Plan C" as I did!  Both patterns are available individually or in the book Schnibbles Times Two: Quilts from 5" or 10" Squares (That Patchwork Place)!

Additionally...you have the choice of making the small or large version.  I made the large version of Plan C  last spring and will be making the small version this month to share on the September 1st parade...I really love this pattern--the combination of four-patches with stars is something I've always been drawn to.

Our "Joy Luck" Schnibbles parade will be held this month on August 5th--the pattern was just being released at the beginning of the month when we announced it as our July quilt...so we've extended the deadline a few days for those who had trouble getting the pattern early on...so be sure to come back for the parade! Also...if you're trying to finish all of the Schnibbles for the year so as to be eligible for the grand prize drawing...now is the time to finish up those extra Schnibbles!

Just a couple of other things to share today..."Clovers" is now quilted...love the daisy pattern and how it softens this quilt.

And my "Summer Criss-Cross Throw" is also quilted with a rose pattern that I love.

Guess I'll be doing quite a bit of binding this week!  Have a wonderful rest of the weekend...and a happy August! Oh...and I'll be back soon to announce the winners from my giveaway as well!

Awesome choices, Sherri. I'm ahead of the game again - woohoo - I've made both quilts as Big Schnibbles. :-) Your Plan C is beautiful.

The others look fabulous all quilted and ready for binding.

Your Summer Criss Cross Throw is beautiful Sherri. Love that pattern. And now I'm thinking maybe I will finish up my Bliss Between Friends with a piano key border and not wait for yardage.

this is such a fun group! I love seeing those four-patches with the stars too. I am loving piano key borders more and more - they look perfect framing this quilt. Love the quilting on that criss-cross throw!

I want to make everything on your blog. your quilts and the fabric you pick is so beautiful. I also left you a msg on flickr about your golden memories quilt.

So, do you get to keep all of the quilts you make? Just curious. I love that first one, such pretty colored fabric!
I agree it will be nice to get back to cooler weather in a month or so. I haven't quilted a bit this summer because it has been soo hot where I live, I just couldn't stand to be handling fabric!

I'm so envious of all your projects - they make me happy. I can't decided which Schnibbles to make yet so I ordered both patterns.

Your quilts are all so beautiful, Sherri! I love the Fig Tree quilts, and your Schnibbles quilts are fantastic. I've been in the US for three weeks and bought the latest Schnibbles book (Times Two) and one of the patterns, so I'm looking forward to making my own. I can't wait for the parade!
