I've been thinking about "red" a lot lately. First there was
this post by Nicole that got me thinking about red shoes. Then, I kept hearing about a red scalloped cake plate at Target (from
Elizabeth, Pam,
Camille, and
Pat just to name a few). Luckily I was able to pick one up after visiting only one store!

I've noticed a lot of red around my home as the Christmas quilts are being taken out of the chests and closets...

And...I've bound 6 quilts in the last ten days...all of which have red bindings on them!

They're not all Christmas quilts...the quilt above is one I'd used mostly
Chocolat' by Moda for, but didn't ever purchase fabric for binding. I noticed the other day that the solid red tonal of
Glace' matched perfectly...and now this quilt that's been sitting for over a year and half without a binding is getting bound!

I noticed that even the blocks I've been working on lately have red in them. Block 6 from
Fat Quarter Shop's Designer Mystery Block of the Month arrived a couple of weeks ago, and I finished it this weekend.

I also worked on finishing my December Schnibbles this weekend...and it has red in it too...but I can't share that until Tuesday!

Hope you have a wonderful week...see you on Tuesday!

I love all those reds you discovered around your house. Cool cake plate too. I've always wanted one of them. How cool that you have so many red bindings. Your quilting projects look lovely!
So many lovely things!! We'll have to start a cake plate club. It's cracking me up how many of us have them!
LOVE red!! Can't have too much red you know. Love all the RED you have in your quilts and that cake plate......to die for!!
What a lovely lot of 'eye candy'!! especially that cake plate, will have to check out our Target on the slight chance we will have one too!!
Red is a power color. Usually when we are drawn to add more red in our lives, it can mean we would like more self power.
And to bind that many quilts in such a short time is awesome. You really are a prolific quilter!
RED is my fave color!! I was even near a Target yesterday but didn't go...dern and phooey! I would LOVE a cake stand like that one!
Lots of pretty red Sherri!
So long as no bulls come around you are good!
What a lot of lovely red fabrics. I love red :0)
Six quilts to put binding on in one week? And all red - what are the odds. I love all the red.
I agree with you totally Sherri, there is definitely something about red. mmmm
Love all your red! You are amazing...all that binding done...good for you! Lots of finishes...that's a very happy thing.
Pat Sloan snagged one of those cake plates too! Looks like you're ready for Christmas. I haven't even started the decorating yet.
Lovely! You do such amazing work! I love all your Moda!
What lovely things, your photography blows me away! You remind me that I need to work on my presentation.
It's beginning to look a lot lije Christmas!
Lots of eye candy there, Sherri. Can't wait til Tuesday to see what you've come up with!
What a lovely post! It makes me look at my own house differently again. I guess I would have to go for pink, because there is hardly any red here. Maybe upstairs?
Your post today has SO much I just love about it. I'm doing the Fat Quarter Shop Glace BOM, I LOVE the Chocolat line of fabrics (I have a small drawer solely devoted to any Chocolat(s) I have left, and last, but not least, I have done the "Litlle Quilt" that you show with Santas and trees (it was done for our daughter a few years back).
Red........it's just "there".
Love red! You're making me want to go to Target for one of those cake stands!
Red is always a good idea! So many nice things to share with us!

P.S. I like all the red. :o}
I gravitate towards the maroonish reds and burgundy. Your reds are beautiful and the red binding appears to be perfect!
Red is a beautiful color - so nice and cheery! Your projects are beautiful - and very productive - that's a lot of bindings, and finished products all at once.
I like this kind of "seeing red"!
I love the Christmas quilt in the second picture, the one on the top...where is the pattern from?
Love the dish. I wish I could get one. Seriously I've looked! Red is my favorite. Love your quilts/binding.
So many pretty things in your home. I love the Moda reds for sure. That is a lot of binding going on.
I nearly fell off my chair laughing when i saw your post! That cake plate sure has made a lot of us happy! Seriously though, i love all those shades of red, and your blocks are beautiful.
I like seeing red. The quilts look really fun and festive and I love the cake platter.

You can copy it from there. Sorry about not emailing the link. I just can't do it from my kids PS3. That's what I'm using to get online.

RED! Everything looks beautiful! And it is that RED time of year after all!!!
You gals are killing me with the Target items. I never get to spend enough time in there to find half of this stuff!
Love the spelling of your daughter's name... Chelsi. Very pretty.
Sending you goodies tomorrow.
Joanna
I love red too! My November Schnibble is ready, I posted about it today. Can't wait to see the others.
Binding! That's a lot of binding! I really dislike doing binding which is funny because it means you're almost done, right?
So many pretty things-love the red!
