Happy Saturday! Today is my day on the Winter Wonderland blog tour! The Winter Wonderland Christmas book is a terrific book with designs by my friend Sherri Falls of This & That. There is a great variety of projects in the book including quilts, table runners, a table topper, and even a tree skirt! Plus, I think all of the designs in the cover quilt are perfect for making cute decorative Christmas pillows!
I used a mix of two different Kate Spain Christmas collections, some Bella solid, and the stripe from Scrumptious for my block. Alphabitties from Fat Quarter Shop make it easy to find the pieces after they’ve been cut out.
The block instructions were simple to follow, and my block went together quickly. It finishes at 8″, so I’m going to border it for a pillow…although wouldn’t a whole quilt full of these baskets be fun…all in different Christmas prints?
The pattern also includes templates for two holly leaves and a berry, but I’m not sure if I’ll add them to this block…it’s cute as it is…
You can find all of the information about the sew along here!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
