Happy Wednesday! Hope your week is going well! It’s “spring break” here which for me means that I get to focus on sewing and don’t have any college classes to teach or have any papers to grade. So I’ve really been enjoying the extra time! I even finished two market quilts and was able to drop them off to be quilted yesterday!
I do have some sewing I can share, though! This weekend we had a visit from
our youngest granddaughter who was in serious need of some cute bibs. So I had fun making a couple of strip-pieced bibs from scraps. I used one piece of batting and used ultra absorbent chenille for the back. I think they turned out pretty cute! We found out yesterday that they fit, so I’ll be making some more and will share a little bit more about them when I take pictures of the new ones.
I’m also trying to stay caught up with my Splendid Sampler blocks even with the market sewing. So I pieced block 11 yesterday as well. The pattern calls for some beautiful embroidery which I don’t have time for now, but at least I have the block finished up!
I have plans for some general organizing, spring cleaning, and of course more sewing over the rest of our break.
Hope you are having a wonderful week! Thanks so much for stopping by!

I love the bibs. I need to make some more for Sarah. She grabs her bibs and rips them off (velcro) so when she is here, we use a big grippy clip in the back LOL. Babies are so funny
Your bibs look adorable —
and absorbent
Love your blocks too
