Hello! Happy Weekend…it’s a good day to sew since it is our national sewing day! It has been a busy week on the blog with lots of quilt along blocks to share…and I’ve also been doing quite a bit of sewing this week that I can’t share until May (as soon as I can…I will)! However, I did make some spring place mats earlier this week that I can share…
not sure if they look more like Christmas than spring, though. Maybe I’ll save these for December! I used my Accuquilt Go! Qube to make these, and there is
a tutorial for them posted on the Accuquilt blog. Okay..so here are some favorites for this week.
A couple of weeks ago I visited Kimberly at the Fat Quarter Shop and I fell in love with her rotating cutting mat. It was so easy to use, and we were able to use it in some of the videos we filmed. It’s called the Matilda’s Own Self Healing Rotating Cutting Mat, and I sure do love it!
Another favorite arrived at my house this week. It’s the sewing text print on cream from the new Sweetwater collection Volume II. It’s perfect for backings, borders and for adding a bit of quilt vocabulary with a low-volume look. I have some extra available in my Etsy shop, too.
And…I have another Clambake mini quilt that didn’t make it into my parade earlier this month…it is by Cathy of Sew Pieceful. She used Vintage Picnic, and it’s a quilt I didn’t want to miss sharing–thank you Cathy for letting me post this!
I’m hoping to get a lot of quilting finished up this weekend…including some things I’ll be able to share with you next week. Thanks so much for stopping by!
PS There is a big Craftsy Supplies Sale going on now through March20th…discounts up to 60% off!

My goodness, how do you keep track of it all Sherri?
Your placemats could be for both Springtime and Christmas. They look like butterflies in a field to me.
Love Cathy's Clambake mini! The red gingham binding was a really great touch!

Very pretty placemats.
I would like to make these, but I don't have an Accuquilt. Could you post the sizes of the pieces?
Thanks!

Your placemats are pretty, I don't think they look like Christmas placemats… they look like beautiful spring grass and butterflies 🙂
The rotating mat must be such a big help when cutting lots of little pieces!!
