I know Wednesday is nearly over, but I thought I could hurry up and sneak in a “What I’m Working on Wednesday post! The quilt “that was never on my list” kind of took over much of my sewing time over the last week. The pattern is “On a Whim” by Camille, and it sure has been a fun one! I started with some of Anna Maria Horner’s Hand Drawn Garden, and I’m adding in bits and pieces from other Anna Maria lines in my stash.
The quilt has 20 blocks, and I’m officially half way there now.
The quilt is going to be a really good size…and
I have my next five blocks cut out and ready to piece!
I also finished up block 3 of the Fat Quarter Shop Designer Mystery Block of the Month.
It might be my favorite basket block ever and was designed by Edyta of Laundry Basket Quilts.
I also made a couple of fabric purchases in the last week…I fell in love with the Paintbox prints from Moda’s Lush Uptown and had to see them in person. They are amazing…I truly wish I had a bolt of each! If you like these prints, I suggest you buy them soon as they are already getting hard to find.

Sherri: love the Camille Roskelley blocks. I am always attracted to her work and of course Anna Marie Horner fabrics, can't go wrong. Great combination – very striking.

Here's another fan of Camille Roskelly! I finished my "On a whim" top yesterday morning…. I am trying to make it into a King, 25 blocks so far.
Now I am debating the size of the borders, could you help me out? I appreciate your advice!

My JoAnns has every piece of Croquet. The yellow are so pretty — there are yellows, lavenders and I can't remember the 3rd colorway. Great basket block.

Your "not on the list" project is coming right along and very pretty I might add! 🙂 I haven't had a chance to get my #3 block done for the FQS mystery quilt but I agree with you, it is my favorite! When I opened the package last week I was immediately in "love" 🙂 Hoping to get to it in the next few days. I just got a 20% off coupon from a local grocery store for Joanne's…humm I think I will check out the DS prints here at our store!:) Happy sewing Sherri!:)

I absolutely love this! I'm so glad I bought that pattern, because I'm seeing more and more gorgeous quilts made with it. Right now, I'm kind of obsessed with everything Camille does! I'm loving your work, too!

I bought some of the DS daisies this week too…and traveled to another Joann's to get some of the coordinating dots print. I don't have plans for them yet, but I had to have them, especially at 40!% off!
Thanks for sharing all of your projects

The yellow croquet is lovely. Lucky you they missed that bolt…I like how it has a vintage llo to it. And your blocks are all so gorgeous.
